RECEIPT.

This is to certify that I have to-day

acting on behalf and under the instructions of His Excel-

lency Sir Henry Blake, C.C.M.G., Governor of Hongkong,

taken possession of the Island of Waglan together with

the Lighthouse establishment standing thereon as described

in the Chinese List of Lights Buoys and Beacons published

by order of the Inspector General of the Imperial Maritime

Customs of China for the year 1900, and including the

Light Tower and Lantern complete with all spare gear

belonging thereto as detailed in the list hereunto at-

tached, the keepers' dwellings and outbuildings, landing

place and gear connected therewith, flagstaff and gun

platform, all being in good working order and condition

and fit for immediate and continuous use.
